The release of “Red (Taylor’s Version),” Taylor Swift’s rerecording of her 2012 album, has revived old talking points: Swift as the ex-girlfriend who savages her former lovers in public, whose lyrics operate as a coded form of gossip, whose expertise lies in playing the victim.
